I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid...except I did grow up and I now realize how fucking shitty TRU is. If this is going to be your Hot Wheels selection, just don't bother carrying the product at all. How can you calk your storw "Toys R Us" when your HW selection is a joke? And dont get me started on the Lego "Toys R Us Tax"...

Yep, my Toys R Us was the same way a few weeks ago. I figured it was because it was around Christmas (even though they should have extra stock in the back for this reason) but they literally had 7 or 8 cars on the rack. And their price was more than it was at Target! Absolutely ridiculous, I thought TRU would be the best place to pick a bunch of them up but clearly not if it's this way at more than one location.

The Toys R Us here in Markham, Ontario is has a quite a lot of hooks for Hot Wheels, but the only selection offered is 1950s-1970s American cars and Hot Wheels designs. It's almost impossible to find any classic Japanese cars, modern supercars, etc. I've wondered if Canada gets America's leftover Hot Wheels that nobody bought, since the selection is so pitful, even if the amount is decent. To top it off, the minimum regular price is ~$1.34 CAD and sometimes reaches $1.50 CAD, though some sales can bring it down to $1.00 CAD. At least there's already a Toyota 2000GT and Honda Civic EF there. I spent forever looking for those, and I've only seen them once when a new shipment just arrived. Once. Also, the only places somewhat near my area where Hot Wheels are found are Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and Target.

I have the 2000GT in multiple variations and like 3 Civics though. I just hate when it's basically all HW original designs.

I have 3 already. My friend has a 1989 Si, fun car and reliable as shit. Definitely a future classic.

I love collecting different colors, but I hate when all the cars are Hot Wheels original designs or 50s-70s American cars. I don't have anything against them, but I already have a few and the colors are all flame-y and custom-like, which isn't exactly to my tastes. Here in Markham, every single store carries the same variation (HW designs and 50s-70s American), which gets annoying when you're trying to collect.

The selection is so pitiful that I consider myself lucky to even have one 2000GT and one Civic.

I hear what you're saying. The Heat Fleat cars from 2013 were all 50s-70s American and then there were some new variations of older castings as well so there were alot of repeat muscle cars on the shelves.
